About aaart

Abundant African art (aaart) was born in 2007. It was founded on the belief that there is an abundance of natural design talent in Africa. To grow this and provide much needed sustainable employment, it needs to be crafted into contemporary items that people can use on a daily basis.

We started selling 5 lights and today manufacture a range of more than 40 hand beaded pendant lights, chandeliers & décor accessories. All are custom made to size, colour, shape etc. We print under licence from ilustrator Alex Latimer a fully South African designed and printed fabric.

We have a small fulltime team who, guided by me have become master artists in their own rights; and we outsource work to other talented Zimbabwean wire artists when we can.

Our clients include hospitality, retailers, interior decorators and individuals. We have shipped to 5 of the 7 continents and pride ourselves on the fact that no order is too small.
